Inverary Castle - seat of the Chief of Clan Campbell, the Duke of Argyll. The original castle was built in the 1400's but the current structure was built in the 1700's. The interior of the castle is quite elaborate & includes a State Dining Room with the only surviving work of French painters Girard & Guinard... & the Armoury Hall displays weapons dating from 1740. It is believed to be haunted by the "ghost of a harpist who was hanged in 1644 for peeping at the lady of the house."
