MWD Lucky survived 5 tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, tracking bombs and insurgents.During his time stateside, he provided protection for presidential, vice presidential and congressional visits. He received a Hometown Heroes award from the American Red Cross in 2010. Everyone loved his goofy smile and unusual (for a Belgian Malinois) floppy ears.He won all his battles except one. Lucky died of cancer in 2011. We are putting a bronze monument at Fairchild AFB to honor Lucky.
