James "Jake"McNiece (May 1919 – January was a US Army paratrooper in World War II. He was the leader of the Filthy Thirteen, an elite demolition unit whose exploits inspired the novel and movie The Dirty Dozen.

Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died in Shinwar District, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when his unit was attacked by enemy forces.  Please pray for his family.
