Oldenburg Germany's heaviest warmblood, it was based on the Fresian horse and developed as a coach horse. The Oldenburg is a warmblood horse from Germany, from an area formerly known as The Grand Duchy of Oldenburg. Originally a carriage horse, it is an effective sports horse with an excellent gait for dressage and height for jumping.
