Evening dress, by Widoff, New York, 1911-13, Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. High waisted Edwardian party gown with a narrow sheath underskirt of plain silk charmeuse and a multilayered overskirt of silk lawn. The short, full lace sleeves cover a white lawn undersleeve edged with miniature pearls and ending in pearl tassels. A pale turquoise satin waist sash backed with bright pink satin closes on the left side with a decorative oval medallion of the pink ribbon flowers.
Evening dress, French, ca. 1911-15. Silk embroidery floss on silk net. Bodice, lined with lightly boned taffeta, has sleeves cut in T-shape, kimono style. Gunmetal bead trim, attached in the Luneville or tambour method. Smith College Historic Clothing
