Worthing, West Sussex, England. Building began in 1900 on what was to have been The Hotel Metropole, at the end of Grand Avenue along the seafront. With nearly 1000 rooms it was designed to attract the aristocracy and wealthy Edwardians. Delays over several years lead to financial difficulties which caused all building to cease. The structure was left unfinished until turned into Flats in 1924. The building is now known as Dolphin Lodge.
