June is Stroke Awareness Month. It is important to make healthy choices in your life to prevent strokes which can be potentially deadly. Have regular checkups with both your family doctor and your optometrist. Because the blood vessels in the eyes are so small, we can potentially catch tiny clots or other signs of cholesterol or blood pressure problems that can prevent a stroke when caught early enough and treated properly.
