Used an old pizza box to house art & craft materials. Kids could make a tiny pizza using paper scraps and then top it withe initial of their first & last name. This was 1 of many stations at our annual literacy event: Itza Pizza theme in 2013.

For a different spin on this, the kids could draw pictures related to a book read during circle time. They could then retell the story over and over using their own pictures as cues. Great literacy activity for encouraging reading comprehension.
