Mindful self-compassion is about learning how to be awake. Being awake is about recognizing that you are not your inner volatile stream of of thoughts, emotions and sensations. Like clouds passing through the sky, these things come and go.
My wife is this to me. This is what made me want to be a better person voluntarily. The other two nagged, bitched, and I dreaded going home. My Sugrabritches has given me this gift, and I've become a person who will never push her to leave.
