End of the Oregon Trail. Oregon City. Willamette Falls w/Mt Hood in the distance. It is the largest waterfall in the PNW by volume, and the 17th widest in the world. Horseshoe in shape, it is 1500 ft wide and 40 ft high w/ a flow of 30,849 cu ft/s; located 26 mi upriver from the Willamette's mouth on the Colombia River

One of the most breathtaking viewpoints along the trail, this spot along Interstate 205 gives a stunning look at Willamette Falls from the West Linn side of the river. On clear days you can also see Mt. Hood standing proudly in the background.

Alsea River in Waldport, Oregon I visited this river a couple of times when my Dad had a house on the river. Went swimming here just off his dock, and then took a ride in his fishing boat to see more of the river...gorgeous area!
