buttermilk mac n cheese. Just used buttermilk, sautéed onions and garlic, cheese and a roux and it was better than expected! Added diced up tomatoes, too. Good use for leftover buttermilk, couldn't really tell a huge difference from regular milk. So good!
I wanted to make a small amount mac And cheese but only had Light buttermilk, not regular milk. Then I figured it would work just as well and better yet wouldnt require butter. The buttermilk did work fabulously! This is a creamy, gooey kind of mac And cheese similar to Velveeta mac And cheese , not the baked crusty kind.
