If you can keep up with the teacher and understand what to write, but feel your notes are all over the place try using Cornell Notes. Draw three lines in the shape of a capital letter I as depicted in the picture. Place the bulk of the notes in the large section on the right, key points to the left, course name at the top, and questions and concerns to follow up with professor, online discussions,etc. at the bottom.
