Layer a stencil over the paper layer and apply Distress Ink with the same technique as ink blending. Hold the stencil firmly to prevent movement, or tape down the stencil with a temporary adhesive. Remove the stencil to reveal a beautiful pattern.

By Angie Leach. Sponge 3 or 4 colors of dye ink on either the embossing or debossing side of an embossing folder. Spritz with water until ink beads up. Lay watercolor paper on inked folder. Burnish with fingers. Lift paper straight up off folder. Let dry.
Distress Ink Watercolor Background - lay scattered straw, fossilized amber, spiced marmalade, and barn door distress inks on an acrylic block. Mist with water and stamp. Air dry or speed it up by using a heat gun.
