Venice Biennale 2013. Ragnar Kjartansson boat orchestra - The Icelandic artist got the idea for the vessel, the S.S. Hangover, from a bar in a 1935 Hollywood film, Remember Last Night? Aboard, a brass sextet plays a haunting melody composed by Kjartan Sveinsson (former keyboardist for the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós > http://youtu.be/2IcSBHwfixQ , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kjartan_Sveinsson).

The Saga of Bárður Snæfellsás takes place around Arnarstapi and Hellnar, and many of the place names in this area relate to the story. Bárður, who was half man and half troll, is said to have walked ashore at Djúpalón and taken a bath in Bárðarlaug pool. A stone sculpture of Bárður Snæfellsnás by Ragnar Kjartansson stands near the coast in Arnarstapi.
