Dish with raised ridge on rim. Earthenware covered on front with presumed tin glaze; on the back with brown translucent glaze. Painted in blue and yellow-brown. In centre a shield of arms for Pope Julius II (Giuliano della Rovere) - an oak tree with acorns; shield supported by two winged dragons and surmounted by papal tiara and crossed keys; field is scattered with rosettes. On rim a continuous pattern of foliage and berries.
