Mike was a personal trainer in New York before relocating to Chicago to try a field outside the fitness industry. Soon realizing that the environment was not the best use of his time, Mike, began helping a co-worker named Chaz. For 12-months Mike helped Chaz lose over 100Lbs by teaching him the Food Program and training him after work in the office.

Sharrod holds a Masters Degree in Education (MEd) from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology-Athletic Training (Sports Medicine), with a double major in Exercise Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) He is a Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer (ATC/L) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He is a Certified CPR/AED Instructor with the American Heart Association.
