Healing Heart. Grief. A heart shape is cut into pieces large enough to draw a picture, write a memory or place the name of the loved one on the paper. The therapist can ask the child if they'd to share their heart by taping it back together and explaining the pieces. This can help a child face the reality of death and understand that it is ok to feel upset, angry, or sad when death happens.
