ISAAC GRUNEWALD (1889-1946) Interior. was a Swedish-Jewish expressionist painter born in Stockholm. He was the leading and central name in the first generation of Swedish modernists from 1910 up until his death in 1946. Grünewald became the center of public controversy numerous times & was the main target of anti-Semitism in the Swedish press between 1910 and 1926.
Illustration by Rafael de Penagos (1889-1954) was the artist who introduced illustration Art Deco in Spain. His role in the Spanish illustration was fundamental as the precursor of a new model of woman, modern and stylized.
