The more we ‘practice’ a response, the more we wire that pattern into place. Eventually, it becomes our default mode. So to regulate and transform our fear, we must learn how to balance our nervous system, to dim the lights on the fight-flight-freeze branch and turn them up on the rest-and-digest one.
