In a Stuart-designed kitchen that appeared in House & Garden, vintage Holophane lights from Remains hang above a marble-topped island. A Barwil faucet is fitted to a farmhouse sink, and the stainless-steel appliances are by Miele, Sub-Zero, Viking, and Wolf. Photo: Thomas Loof
Retro Kitchen Kitchen designer Mick de Giulio created a homey kitchen with a retro feel in this Chicago house using yellow paint. The color, Benjamin Moore's Stuart Gold, unifies both rooms, but also gives both the kitchen and the dining area a burst of energy. The walnut floor, hand-scraped to give it even more character, changes to a chevron pattern in the adjoining breakfast room.
