A nice rudimentary guide to mixing some colours with acryllics. This'll be handy for when I'm rushing wands and don't have time to slowdown and think of how to get to the desired hue. Someone should do one that's all different kinds of wood shades.


The basics of colour mixing - this technique creates deep, realistic life-filled colours but also requires more paint. Also note, NEVER use black when painting realistic paintings, only for more abstract paintings

This is a great idea to create rubrics for art projects. As a teacher I will be looking for effort put into the project and the concept creativity, not necessarily whether or not someone is "good" at art.

This rubric is a basic set up that can be altered to fit different courses and content areas. This particular rubric is geared for high school art students.
