On the movie-used coat, the fur was applied to the inside of the coat's lapels (as if it were lined), which were then folded out so the fur can be seen. When making your own, it may be recommended to glue or sew down the lapels so the fur stays visible and sits where you want it.    REMEMBER: When cutting fur, use a razor blade and score it from the back, then tear it apart. If you attack it with scissors, you will lose a lot of the fur around the edges where you cut.
