Cuba Court, Offaly. Built in the 1730's by George Frazer, former Governor of Cuba. Constructed from money made from sugar plantations in Cuba. Charlotte Bronte spent her honeymoon here in 1854 after her marriage to Arthur Bell Nicholls. The home also has connections with Oscar Wilde. The house was unroofed in 1946 for tax evasion. It was eventually demolished in the 1980's by a local businessman.
