Finally we reach the summit... what a hell day full of delays and near death disasters. Hard to believe we finally managed to make it. What's even crazier is... this one snow mission alone has generated more photos in frames to date, than any other... Standing above 'Wood Hooker' Mt.Field, Tasmania. 27.9.08.

The Doctor putting on some jam... well that's what we have always called the art of 'creative printing'. This is almost the finished end product... I had my good friends from Force Industries Jeff & Tim make a variety of killer custom snowboards for my shop 'Ozone House of Boards' and this is one. Inkpot Studios, Murray Street, Hobart, Tasmania. 13.7.04.

Time to head home.... the best thing about the walk back along the tarn duckboards... is watching the sun go down behind you. Never the same and always colourful. A truly memorable end to yet another killer solo mission. Mt.Field, Tasmania. 23.7.11.

This is 3 days of freshies stacked metres high over the frozen lakes of 'Backhouse Tarn' Mt.Field Tasmania. 9.9.08.

Last Tracks... This is one of my top 10 favorite snow pics of all time... big call I know, but to me it is. It's a hidden valley that catches all the fresh. It's fully protected from all our killer Westerlies and... the snow covers what would be an un-ridable valley full of bullshit huge boulders. I named it 'Catch a falling Knife' - the Filter track I was listening to when I discovered it. Mt.Field, Tasmania. 19.9.11.

This is how I celebrated my 30th year of snowboarding... dropping run, after run, into super dry Mt.Field 'freshies'...my favorite hill in Tasmania. 3 days of solid falls to below 400 metres and not another human in site. There are days were trekking solo is the only way to travel, this was such a day. One thing you perfect doing solo missions is... how to capture these moments. Mini tripods & time delay shots, that is how I pulled this off. 13.7.13.

A perfect frozen droplet... You never know what you will discover when you explore crevasses. A good friend of mine... Matty - SnowChaser almost boarded straight over & into this one. While following him down a new run called 'Wood Hooker' I had to slap in a killer carve just to miss being pulled into the huge crack he had uncovered. On our trek back up I dropped inside to snap this, just one of many incredible 'ice stalactites' hanging from its ceiling. Amazing. Mt.Field, Tasmania. 18.9.09.

Snow to sea level... this is exactly what it looks like, as a killer front comes rolling in. I took this shot going under the eastern shore overpass at the end of the Tasman Bridge. The time a crazy 4:17am on my way to pick up the crew & hit the mountains. Hobart, Tasmania. 25.7.12.

Standing on a frozen lake... you know it's going to be a killer day when it's that cold... you can walk right through the middle of 'Lake Dobson'. It remained like this for almost 2.5 months. Not only did this let me take shots of the epic 'Golden Stairs' from a whole new angle, it makes a great talking piece. Solo mission - Mt.Field, Tasmania. 23.7.14.
