Brisbane Bridge Hotel, Brisbane, ca. 1878 - Erected on the south side of Stanley Street, between Melbourne Street and Russell Street, Brisbane. The hotel was built for Samuel Aburnethy in 1867. When this photograph was taken, John Graham, second from right, was the licensee. In 1888 he erected the palatial Graham's Hotel beside this building.

When the Story Bridge first opened in 1940 the toll charge for motor cars carrying not more than seven passengers was 6d. Other charges ranged from 1d for bicycles to 1/6 for heavy vehicles.
