In addition, the Korea Racing Authority introduced other breeds, such as the Anglo-Arabian and the Thoroughbred in late 1970s in order to produce race horses. The purpose is obtaining a show and saddle horse, taller than Paso Fino or Paso horses in Colombia and Peru, but with high movements. For that, PRE (Spanish Purebred or Andalusian) were crossed with Peruvian Paso. The breed is now in process of consolidation.
