Classic but modern gray and white master bathroom design with wide herringbone chevron floor tiles, brick pattern white subway tiles with gray grout in the shower, white lacquer credenza under the basin sink, blackened bronze wall mounted sconce, vibrant green potted plants, and warm wood accents from the vanity tray, towel basket and rectangular vanity mirror.
We just installed the pennies (we had glued to the mosaic tile mesh backing) directly over the existing ceramic tile in the vestibule (foyer/entryway) with regular thin set. We then grouted it with laticrete epoxy grout in chocolate truffle. It was really very easy and i love the way it came out.. most people that first see it don't realize that it's pennies. It took 3,889 pennies (it's about 3'-8" x 5'-8")...so $38.89 for app. 24 sf of tile is not bad at all.
INTERIOR OF THE YEAR BATHROOM - FINALIST, BELINDA ELLIS OF FRASER CAMERON ARCHITECTS: Creating clean, functional lines and a clever use of light, both artificial and natural, were key to Belinda Ellis’s plans for the small bathroom at Mandy and Glenn Wilson’s bach. The wall-hung and recessed fittings, basin, cabinetry and WC also give this petite space a more expansive feel.
Thanks House of Fraser Decor~ http://houseoffraserdecor.com for the image & great kitchen design. The chunky, contrasting grout line adds such interest to basic subway tiles. Great work David at our Hamilton Mountain store;)
