EARLY WAR REBEL HOLDING A LARGE COLT AND A LARGE ARKANSAS TOOTHPICK BOWIE KNIFE, 1/4 plate ambrotype in full leather case. This early war Rebel image offers an excellent closeup view of his arms being posed. In his right hand he holds a large Colt revolver. In his left hand he poses with a huge bowie knife known as an "Arkansas Toothpick" having a double edged straight pointed blade with a "coffin style" handle. His civilian attire suggests a very early war image.
