Moai ~ monolithic human figures carved from rock on the Chilean Polynesian island of Easter Island between 1250 - The tallest moai was almost 30 ft high and weighed 82 tons.

The heads on Easter Island have bodies, as discovered in 2012. The soil around the bodies have kept them in exceptional condition.

Okay, I’m sure some people out there knew the Easter Island statues had bodies, but I’m not going to pretend to be one of those people. My mind is kind of blown that I’m almost 40 and just now finding out that there are Easter Island statue bodies.
