"El Laguito", in Cartagena is the far end of the peninsula of Bocagrande. This here is the Hilton Hotel and the open sea is the Caribbean (the lower edge of the photo); the water behind the hotel on the left is an open lagoon and the bay is in the upper right side. That land is called "Bocagrande."
Cartagena de Indias, Colombia - May,2009 - These arcades are part of Las Bóvedas, originally built in the 18th century as an armory and as a prison after independence. It has 47 arches and 23 vaults which today are mostly used as stores for handcrafts and antiques, bars and galleries.
