The end of the U-Boat seems close at had. With the new convoy system being employed all over the Atlantic, the German Navy is at loss with what to do. The British warships set up a defensive perimeter around the convoy and are able to detect U-Boats before they can get close(7). U-Boats are still acting by themselves and are very disorganized, unable to get within range to use torpedoes without getting picked off by warships(8). U-Boats are at a huge disadvantage at this point in the war.
