A hidden treasure in the north central Washington, Tonasket was originally settled by the Native People and named for their leader, Chief Tonasket. Established as in the late 1800s, the town was incorporated in 1927. Known for its wonderful fruit and dude ranches.
We've all heard about Discovery Park, and some of us have probably been there before. If you don't drive, this is one of the easiest outdoor adventure places to get to via bus, and it definitely is big enough to provide you with an entire day of activities. Make sure to pack a lot of water and some snacks. Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen! For more info, click this link: http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/seattle-magnolia-area-beach-discovery-park/
