Unusual: This womans headwear consists of a bowl of fruit. Women and girls of all ages sat patiently as brightly coloured fabrics and beads were weaved into their hair during the ninth Afro-hairdressers' competition in Cali.

Slavery was abolished in Colombia in 1851. Every May, the entire country celebrates Afro-Colombian Week, which aims to encourage pride among Afro-Colombians. Part of that celebration, Cali hosts this hair styling competition, where the stars are the gorgeous curly locks of each creative stylist and contestant. The contest encourages the preservation of traditional methods of braiding, weaving, and other hair styling methods used by these artists. I think I would like Miss A to enter this
