Together with Sir David Tang, we selected hand-painted designs  that evoke 1940’s Shanghai for this prestigious eaterie. The black and bright blue colours of the kingfisher chinoiserie are reminiscent of imperial Chinese jewellery. Our lotus and carp design has been re-appropriated as a panoramic artwork, hand-painted on silk organza.
