Use immediately. To make windows, line a baking sheet with a Silpat. Make caramel syrup. Place a gingerbread section on prepared sheet, flat side down; pour caramel syrup into window spaces. Let syrup cool and harden on baking sheet before turning over and decorating.
| Carla Hall's Pumpkin Pecan Pie/one comment on this recipe was to instead of using plain butter, brown it. Just heat gently until butter is golden brown but be careful not to burn it. Allow to cool before adding eggs. The difference is amazing!
