El 24 de junio de 1935 Carlos Gardel, junto con Alfredo Le Pera y algunos de sus músicos, falleció en el choque de dos aeroplanos a punto de despegar sobre la pista del Aeropuerto Las Playas de la ciudad de Medellín (Colombia) luego llamado aeropuerto Olaya Herrera.  Gardel fue enterrado primero en Medellín, pero luego Armando Defino ―su albaceas― logró la repatriación del cuerpo. Su mausoleo se encuentra en el Cementerio de la Chacarita, Buenos Aires, Argentina

When Jonathan Reed’s wife, Mary, died in 1893, the widower didn’t want to leave her side. In fact, he was so devoted he moved in to her tomb, where he lived (with a parrot) for over 10 years.

such a beautiful but sorrowful Angel. She makes me want to sit with her. I have no idea why - but I want to sit and place my hand over her hands. These are almost a lost art.
