This is a porcelain saucer that was made in China. It dates to c. 1750 AD. Though being Chinese in origin, it shows the phrase, "Foy Pour Devoir" meaning, "Faith for Duty". This was the catchphrase of Archibald Seymour, 13th Duke of Somerset. Because of this, I believe that this saucer was imported to England.
