What a record of service!  Jose Antonio Navarro was a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and a delegate to the annexation convention of 1845.  He served in the Coahuila and Texas state legislature and the federal congress at Mexico City before Texas Independence.  He was also a member of the Texas Congress and served as a Texas State Senator after statehood.
