Victor Nogin (1878-1924). Prominent Bolshevik. Pre-revolution, he attempted conciliation between the Bolsheviks and Mensheviks. Leading Moscow Bolshevik, member of their Military-Revolutionary Committee, attempted a bloodless insurrection in Moscow. Left government days after the revolution after advocating a coalition government. After admitting his mistakes, he held a series of leading positions until 1924.
