Apple selected Reno-Sparks for new data center that will generate up to 41 jobs as well as 200 long-term contractors. The project would generate about 580 direct construction jobs. Experts are expecting around $340 million in economic activity to hit the Reno area due to the data center alone. But in response to the tax breaks, Apple pledged to invest $1 billion in the area over ten years. Once complete, there will be at least 35 full-time workers along with nearly 200 contract workers.
