Puff Adder (Bitis arietans) is a venomous viper species found in savannah and grasslands from Morocco and western Arabia throughout Africa except for the Sahara and rain forest regions.

Javan mudsnake or Dragon Snake, (Xenodermis javanicus), a Colubrid snake found in South East Asia is found in lowland rice paddies, wetlands and forest habitats. It is known to eat frogs and small lizards, but little else is known about this unique snake. Photo by Frank Yuwono.

Dragon Snake (Xenodermus javanicus) is found throughout a few coutries of southeast Asia and is the only snake of its genus. It’s diet consists mostly of frogs, though it was discovered in 1836 little more is know about this species.

The Wurcherer’s Ground Snake (Xenopholis scalaris) is a nonvenomous species native to northern and central South America. Little is known about this snake, aside from its preference for digging through moist leaf litter and its diet, which consists mostly of frogs. #Xenopholis #scalaris #Wurcherers
