"Hate is a wasteful emotion, most of the people you hate don't know you hate them and the rest don't care.

George Franklin Grant was a graduate of Harvard University (class of 1870), the 1st African American Professor at Harvard University (School of Dentistry) in 1871, opened a Dentistry Practice in Boston Ma & in 1899 modified the PERFECTUM TEE (invented by Percy Ellis) & parented the first  Golf Tee (Wooden Golf Tee). In 1991 the USGA recognized Dr Grant as the inventor of the Golf Tee

In African-American golf fan Dr. George Franklin Grant received a patent for the world's first golf tee. Grant, however, never marketed his invention, instead giving the tees away to friends and fellow golfers.

He was awarded Americas Highest Military Decoration (Medal of Honor) for his actions at the Battle of Chaffin's Farm in Virginia.
