The Babe

Babe Ruth was a very renoun baseball player for the New York Yankees. Baseball games became even more popular because commentaries of the game were able to be heard live through the radio.

Babe Ruth (March 1920)  Baseball originally appeared in the late 18th century England. Pictured here is Babe Ruth. He joined the New York Yankees in the twenties and played for them. This symbolizes the beginning of sports players becoming stars. Beforehand, the teams were congratulated instead of the individual player. His rise to fame came from his hits while he was with the Boston Red Sox the decade previous.

This is a picture of Babe Ruth. Also know as The Sultan of Swat and the Great Bambino, he unified Americans through baseball and is the greatest player to ever live.
