A local beach view in North Cornwall. I liked the tumultuous sea contrasting with the peaceful paddling beachcomber and perfect sky with reflected sunlight. You can imagine the feel of the sand and water and the sounds of the waves.

I liked the reflections in the light of a perfect cold January day and the fleeting nature of the scene seconds before the footprints disappeared and the people moved. This contrasted with the timeless view of the relentless ocean and beach.

Cornwall - yey this is the place we know and love ....

It’s hard not to fall in love with Cornwall. For some it’s the happy memories of a childhood seaside holiday. For others it’s the brief fling of a teenage summer. For most it’s a passionate affair that lasts a lifetime…so let the affair begin!

Low tide looking south from Sandymouth beach to Northcott Mouth, near Bude, Cornwall, England, UK. Just see the wreck of 1,925 ton Portuguese steamship "Belem" (formerly the German SS Rhodos) stranded in thick fog at Northcott Mouth, Bude, on 20th November 1917 while on passage Gibraltar to Barry. the crew of 33, including 2 Royal Navy gunners, were brought ashore by rocket apparatus.. She soon broke her back and was deemed a total loss; being later broken up for scrap.

“be not the slave of your own past. plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old.” - ralph waldo emerson

glittery ocean makes me happy.love the ocean .

A beautiful cold clear winter's day during a walk on our local beach, Sandymouth, North Cornwall. I couldn't resist venturing behind a cascading stream tumbling from the clifftop onto the beach to see if I could get some kind of shot. The low sunlight playing on the droplets and noise was fascinating. Copyright Richard Brookes.
