The Castle of Xativa near Valencia, Spain is a medieval structure strategically positioned on an ancient Roman road. It fell into Moorish control in 1171, but was recaptured 50 years later by King James I of Aragon. Near the castle is a medieval church and ruins of a Muslim town.
This is a lavender field in France. I like this pin because we have nothing like this landscape near us. We see this as beautiful but are so used to corn and beans in the same rows like this but do not necessarily call them beautiful.
