Easter Island heads have bodies!   Excavation has been done around the base of two of the Moai heads;  the statues stand on stone pavements and it appears the dirt burying the statues washed down from above and was not deliberately placed there to support the statues   - DailyMail.co.uk/sciencetech  (25 May 2012)

Okay, I’m sure some people out there knew the Easter Island statues had bodies, but I’m not going to pretend to be one of those people. My mind is kind of blown that I’m almost 40 and just now finding out that there are Easter Island statue bodies.
