Peter walks on water

Peter walking on water to Jesus. Many are quick to criticize Peter for not having enough faith, but he is one of the Apostles I can identify withand at least he got out of the boat to try walking on water.

John 20:3 Then Peter and the other disciple set out for the tomb. 4 The two of them began running together, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and reached the tomb first. 6 Then Simon Peter also came, following him, and he went into the tomb... 8 Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed.

The Empty Tomb 1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved,

Moses was loyal in his role in transporting the ark of the covenant. When opposition broke out, Moses told his people: "Jehovah will make known who belongs to him.” May we too be known by our Father. "Jehovah is aware of what the blameless go through, And their inheritance will last forever." Psalms 37:18

Families will be reunited in the resurrection, as was Lazarus who Jesus resurrected. They knew each other as described in the Bible at John 12 Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Beth′a·ny, where Laz′a·rus was, whom Jesus had raised up from the dead. 2 So they spread an evening meal for him there, and Martha was serving them, but Laz′a·rus was one of those dining with him.

John 8:3-5: The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery... “Teacher... In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women..." “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” ...those who heard began to go... until only Jesus was left, with the woman, Jesus... asked her, “Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dirt. They kept at him, badgering him. He straightened up and said, "The sinless one among you, go first: Throw the stone." Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt.

Jesus poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with a towel.

Christ was here instituting a religious service. By the act of our Lord this humiliating ceremony was made a consecrated ordinance. It was to be observed by the disciples, that they might ever keep in mind His lessons of humility and service.
