Painted Morning - Beautiful autumn foliage underneath morning skies and the setting moon. The array of rich colors reminded me of an oil painting. The sunrise was rather lackluster in terms of color, but later in the morning the sun emerged through the thin clouds and allowed for some beautiful diffused light across the landscape.

Nathaniel Hone the Younger (October 26, 1831 – October 14, 1917) was an Irish painter, the great grand nephew of a better-known painter, Nathaniel Hone. Hone began his career as a railway engineer but gave this up to study art in Paris. Most of his later paintings are landscapes, very often enlivened with animals and occasionally with figures. While in France he was influenced by the painter Courbet who was taking a new and revolutionary approach to painting.

We see Vincent at work, painting landscapes and portraits. His brother Theo, wife Johanna, and their baby visit Auvers. Vincent is playful and charming, engaging the attentions of Gachet's daughter Marguerite (who's half Vincent's age), a young maid at the inn, Cathy a Parisian prostitute, and…
