Puerto Rican soldiers and other non-Puerto Rican Hispanics who fought in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War were known as the Borinqueneers and were part of the 65th Infantry Regiment.  Approximately 43,000 Puerto Ricans fought in the Korean War.
