Practice Sketch made by CreativeNewbies member BnBGobo99. He used charcoal to first block out the ground and subject, then using a tissue paper he transferred some of the charcoal powder to fill in the shadows. He is just starting making a serious attempt to develop drawing skills, and this was his first attempt with charcoal. Ready to start developing your #drawing skills? A friendly community is coming soon to http://CreativeNewbies.com!

This is my second sketch for my first assignment at UMUC. The assignment was to make positive and negative space by leaving the objects white and everything else black. For this one, I went in and added cross-contour lines and shading just for fun.

Thinking about getting into #needlecraft? http://CreativeNewbies.com is coming soon with a community of fellow newbies!

Expect a pattern of it to be uploaded hopefully sometime next week, along with the start of my next project.

Work In Progress Creativenewbies member BnBGobo99 is making a going-away gift for an Air Force coworker. He cut stone tiles found at Lowes to fit a frame. His next step is to laser engrave going away messages directly onto the glass with the coworkers name, service dates, and unit emblem. So, here's something CreativeNewbies user BnBGobo99 has been doodling with in the 3D program Blender. He saw this shape in a book called "Engineering Design Graphics: Sketching, Modeling, and Visualization" and he thought it would be a good opportunity to try some modeling practice.

CreativeNewbies member Yodaman921 has a koi pond in his backyard with a healthy population of frogs. He took a series of pictures using his HTC One M7 phones. All things considering I he got some great angles and picture quality!

CreativeNewbies member BnBGobo99 had a thunderstorm move through recently, and he thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try and get some shots of lighting using his Nikon D3200. He set the F-stop to 22 to make everything sharp and in focus, and lengthened the exposure to compensate for the high F-stop as well as allow for lightning flashes to occur during the exposure. The exposure was set on bulb lasting 58 seconds. ISO was 200.
